Blog Post # 2 - Facebook

My first blog was to draw attention to my creative work. This one narrows that down so I can talk about my primary source of advertising and engagement, Facebook. And when I say advertising, I don’t just mean getting my word out to potential clients. I also mean getting my brand out via videos I think people will enjoy. As a creator, it was until the discovery of things like Facebook and Youtube that I shared my creations with friends and family only. I made things for school projects, sent them to people I loved, but I never had the ability to share them so easily and consistently.

While I was growing up, not only Youtube, but social media like Facebook was beginning to develop. My brother was making videos and I was helping out with them. It was fun and an early part of my life that impacted me greatly. As I helped and watched the movies he made come to life I also got to see them be received by an online audience of people. When I decided to pursue filmmaking I already knew the effects social media could have and it made it more motivating for me to start my own Facebook company page and Youtube channel.

Since then I have tried my best to utilize technology to push my brand to my clients and use the internet to share what I enjoy making. Facebook allowed me to seamlessly transition my own work to a page where I could post works of my company and create a brand with a digital space and identity. I have invited people I knew to visit it, referred people to it in real life, and used it as a landing page for clients. And I want people like you who are reading this blog to be able to come by and see what is happening at C-Squared Productions and see what things I’m passionate about through pages like these. So if you are out there and you saw something of mine, maybe clicked to go to my Youtube or Facebook page and then went all the way to this, welcome. I hope you saw some things that impacted you in some way. If not, I am always trying to improve and any advice is welcome. Leave a comment, feedback, or just send us a message through the “connect” tab. For now here is the video I first created for my Facebook page as the face of my company. It has changed a bit overtime, but this video is still one of my favorites.
