Blog post # 1 - My Creative Work

Hey people of the internet. If you are reading this it means you found my website and clicked on the “Blog” section. You might be a client expecting some info, an avid blog-reader expecting something out of this blog, or this may just be the teacher of one of my classes scanning over my website to make sure everything is in order. Regardless, I want to welcome you to my site and thank you for visiting and also make a confession. I have NO CLUE what I am doing when it comes to blogging. So in this I am going to break down a few parts of my business and talk about them from my perspective to hopefully give some transparency to my company and let people see what I think of my own work as it is posted or in preparation. But this first one is going to be VERY basic. Just me talking about what I already have done. So SIT BACK, RELAX, PICK A GOOD NARRATOR VOICE FOR ME TO SOUND LIKE(I SUGGEST NICOLAS CAGE OR BARRACK OBAMA), and enjoy the read!!!!

My work. My work… What can I say about my work. Well it all started a long time ago in High School when I discovered iMovie. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s an editor that comes default with all Apple computers. I had the privilege to receive a school-issued laptop for my four years of high school that I used for almost everything. Homework, music, movies, etc. It wasn’t until Junior year however that we were given an assignment to make a movie. It was simple, basically just some slides, but in preparation for it I started making set trailers that iMovie had created as templates for people to use for other projects. I thought it was so cool that I kept playing with it until eventually I substituted any project I could with a video one so I could make it using my computer. That lead me off onto a long path of creating movies until I was able to make a little money off of it and eventually start my own business during college called C-Squared Productions!!! That’s this. You are here. It’s been a ride and it will continue as I get better, but for now, this is where I am going to show off what I try hard to create. I hope the time and effort I put in shows up and whatever video you watch makes you happy in some way. If it’s not then I’ll try harder, 100%, cause making people passionate, evoking emotion or inciting action from a movie. That’s what I live for.

My movies on here are a mixture of commercial and fun projects but they all have a similar quality in that I made them to serve some specific purpose. The commercial work is to smoothly bring you into a world to get you connected to a product. The fun work is to bring you into a world that I think is really fun and make you smile like I do when I think of these crazy and dumb ideas. Since this post is about my work, here’s an example of one of my funny passion projects I just finished that serves the purpose of…. hmmmm… Well I just think it’s funny :). Enjoy!
